Arts in the Armed Forces

Vista LifeSciences would like to highlight the efforts of Arts in the Armed Forces (AITAF.org). AITAF produces theatrical and musical performances for military and civilian audiences. Their performances are carefully selected for serious impact on active and veteran service-people, and use live appearances to encourage dialogue.

AITAF Mission Statement:

To honor, educate, inspire, and entertain all active duty and veteran members of the United States Armed Forces and their families by engaging them in the power and social service of the performing arts.

AITAF gives service members and artists the opportunity to enrich and diversify their respective outlooks via their highly varied skill sets, life experiences, and demographics. These interactions provide an enormously valuable avenue through which substantial, universal issues can be approached and discussed. These powerful performances and the ensuing dialogue can help bring together veterans and their families and foster greater understanding between service-people and others.
