In partnership with the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) and industry partner, Valtamer, VLS has developed the Hyperbaric Neurocognitive Assessment System (HNAS). The HNAS is a field-deployable, tablet-based neurocognitive assessment tool with specific applications for experimental dive operations in undersea and hyperbaric medical research.
Key features of the prototype include:
- Android-based tablet with a custom capacitive touch panel
- Ruggedized protective housing
- Touch sensitivity tuned for underwater and surface use (toggleable by user)
- Standardized metrics for neurocognitive assessment via the Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (ANAM) UltraMobile platform
